Taxes Fees

A per-flight segment charge that applies to travel within the continental United States

Ticket Tax, this is a percentage of the ticket fare. It applies to flights within the continental U.S. and the 225-mile buffer zones around Canada and Mexico. For flights between the continental U.S. and Alaska or Hawaii, the tax is prorated based on the distance traveled in continental U.S. airspace.

This fee applies to flight segments connecting the continental U.S. with Alaska or Hawaii.

A variable charge of up to $4.50 per passenger, depending on the airport, to fund airport facility improvements. A maximum of four PFCs can be applied per itinerary.

Also called the U.S. Passenger Civil Aviation Security Fee, this fee is $5.60 for each one-way flight originating in the U.S., or $11.20 for a round-trip. It may be applied multiple times for itineraries with layovers.

This tax is charged on all international flights arriving to or departing from the U.S., as well as flights between the 50 U.S. states (including D.C.) and U.S. territories such as Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Applies to all flights that originate outside the U.S. (except Canada) and land in the United States, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands

Charged on all international arrivals to the U.S., Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Applies to international arrivals from outside of the U.S. Customs territory.

Includes various charges imposed by foreign governments, such as security fees, inspection fees, and airport departure taxes.

Depending on the class of travel, type of trip, and other relevant factors, a service charge of up to $100 per passenger may be applied for all traveler categories
